Terre da Vino S.p.A. is a winery that produces and sells bottled wines of Protected Geographical Indication from Piemonte Region of Italy (DOC e DOCG). In 2015 Terre da Vino sold about 5,000,000 bottles, for a total sale volume of about 25.000.000 Euros. Terre da Vino was established in the 80’s and has been renewed in 2000, when the new headquarters of Barolo (Cuneo) have been created. Finally, in 2010 the new facility for the ageing of top wines has been launched. This winery represents a unique organization including more than 5,700 ha of vineyards, 2,600 grapevine growers organized in 14 different vinification centers. The vineyards are located in the most important viticultural areas of Cuneo, Asti, Alessandria and Torino provinces. Terre da Vino most important and famous wines are Barbera d’Asti Superiore “La Luna e i Falò”; Piemonte Moscato Passito “La Bella Estate”; Barolo “Essenze”. Terre da Vino main markets are Germany (60%), United Kingdom and United States, besides the domestic market. Terre da Vino is collaborating, or has collaborated, to several research projects with Italian Universities in the viticultural and enology fields.

Terre has numerous farmers working for them under their supervision to provide grapes for wine production and therefore in OPTIMA primarily will contribute with farmers to participate in the survey and the focus and co-creation groups.
Terre will work for disseminating OPTIMA results at national and international level through its contacts.
Terre will focus on the DSS evaluation, the selected synthetic and bio-PPPs testing and the new smart sprayer testing in the use-case of vineyards under UNITO leading.
